EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics is pleased to recognize an additional 36 student-athletes from the equestrian and cheer & dance teams who achieved a 3.25 grade point average during the 2018-19 academic year. The Wasps previously saw 118 of their student-athletes named to the ODAC All-Academic Team on July 15, bringing the total to 154 varsity letterwinners to earn all-academic honors this year.

"Emory & Henry sponsors 24 varsity sports, 20 of which are NCAA sports that compete in the ODAC, and four non-NCAA sports with their own governing bodies," commented Joe Matthews, E&H Director of Sports Information. "It is fitting that we as a department have chosen to recognize the student-athletes who have achieved the same level of academic excellence as their classmates from ODAC-sponsored programs."

The Intermont Equestrian Teams led the way with 31 student-athletes on the list. The cheer and dance squads had four and two of their members, respectively, achieve the mark for this past year.
