EMORY, Va. - On the afternoon of Sunday, September 29, the female student-athletes of the Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics will host the 23rd Annual All Sports Day For Girls, a FREE one-day camp for area elementary and middle school girls to introduce them to sports skills.

The event will begin with registration at 1:00 p.m., with skill sessions beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sessions for basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball are included. There will also be demonstrations from E&H's equestrian and swimming programs. Each sport session is approximately 30 minutes long in which the E&H coaches and student-athletes play games and run drills with the campers.

Campers will also meet members of the cross country, equestrian, golf and swimming teams over the course of the afternoon, who will share their experiences as student-athletes at Emory & Henry.

This event began in 1997 to teach young ladies in the community about sports and give the Emory & Henry student-athletes a chance to interact with some of their young fans. It is a time for the Wasp student-athletes to be able to pay forward some of the support and help in their athletic development which they received as young ladies. It is also an opportunity for the young ladies of the community to meet and interact with the student-athletes that they cheer for on the court and field at E&H contests.
