EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics announced Wednesday that the 2020 I-HEY Golf Tournament will be moved from the original date of Friday, May 8 to Friday, August 21, due to the coronavirus outbreak. The tournament will still be held at Glenrochie Country Club in Abingdon, Virginia.

The annual event, sponsored by JA Street General Contractors, is held in appreciation of the loyal contributors to the I-HEY Fund that supports the operational needs of Emory & Henry Athletics.

The tournament format will include teams of four players in a captain's choice format. Registration opens at 8 a.m., with a continental breakfast provided by Food Country, USA. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start. Lunch will be held following the round in the 19th Hole banquet facility inside the clubhouse.

Entry fee for the tournament is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, breakfast and lunch.

I-HEY is the official fundraising arm of the Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics. Since 1948, alumni and friends have supported athletic programs at E&H by joining I-HEY (I Help Every Year). Contributions, which go directly to the E&H Athletics, help teams purchase equipment and pay for travel to and from competition. Gifts earmarked to I-HEY will help young men and women become leaders on the field and court as well as in the classroom.

Tournament sponsorships are still available. Please contact Ronan King at rking@ehc.edu to learn more about the various levels of support.
