Emory & Henry Athletics Hosts Virtual Blue & Golden Globes Awards

Blue & Golden Globes Logo

EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics recognized the accomplishments of its student-athletes for the 2019-20 academic year by hosting the Seventh Annual Blue & Golden Globes Awards Celebration through the use of the Department's social media outlets. The virtual award ceremony was spread out over the week of Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8.

The social media series, which announced award winners in 19 categories, was held via the E&H Athletics social media outlets of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. As always, each category was presented by a current student-athlete, faculty or staff member, but this year, each presenter was able to add their own bit of flair while presenting from their home.

The Blue & Golden Globes is an event supported by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee to celebrate accomplishments of the College's student-athletes that excelled on the field of play, in the classroom, and the weight room.

This year, the Blue & Golden Globes included five new awards that celebrate the student-athletes' accomplishments in the areas of service and civic engagement.
