Brandon Lineberry Named To The ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Second Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Emory & Henry College junior right fielder Brandon Lineberry has been selected to the 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-South Region Second Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association, ABCA officials announced Tuesday. Lineberry is the third player in the past four seasons under Head Coach Trey McCall to earn regional honors.

The Hillsville, Virginia native led the Wasps in batting average (.356), home runs (nine), RBI (37) and total bases (84) while posting a .422 on-base percentage and slugging a team-best .712 on the year. Linberry also tallied 11 doubles, two triples, two sacrifice flies and scored 26 runs over the course of the season.

Although he was not selected as a member of the 2015 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Teams, Lineberry led the league in slugging, home runs, total bases and RBI. He was also fourth in the ODAC in triples, eighth in doubles and 13th in both batting average and on-base percentage.

Centerfielder Eric Houff was selected to the All-South Region Second Team in 2013 while second baseman Josh McMillian was a first-team all-region selection after the 2012 campaign.
