Ferrum Baseball Downs Emory & Henry, 10-1, In ODAC Tilt Wednesday

FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College Baseball Team (20-13, 11-6 ODAC) picked up a 10-1 win over visiting Emory & Henry College (4-28, 1-16 ODAC) in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference single game Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Kyle Anstice put the Panthers on the board in the second with a solo home run. FC extended its lead to 3-0 through three before E&H broke through on sophomore left fielder Jacob Zoller's (Culpeper, Va.) double down the left field line to make it 3-1.

Ferrum tacked on four runs in the sixth, one in the seventh (a Jake Martin solo shot), and two in the eighth for the final 10-1 tally.

Drew Calohan picked up the win for the Panthers, scattering one run on five hits with four strikeouts over five innings. Wasp sophomore Noah Griffin (Fort Mill, S.C.) took the loss, allowing five earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will return home on Saturday when it hosts Washington and Lee University in an ODAC doubleheader at noon. The series will also serve as Senior Day for the Wasps.
