John Clark is entering his second year coaching the Developmental Baseball Team at Emory & Henry College.

 

Clark had a productive playing career as an outfielder and designated hitter at the former Clinch Valley College (now the University of Virginia's College at Wise) in the mid-1990s playing under former Head Coach Ray Spenilla. 

 

Clark was an Assistant Coach at the former Powell Valley High School (now Union High School) for a number of years working with former Head Coaches Jim Kelly and J.W. Salyers. Clark was an Assistant Coach on the 1995-96 State Championship team at PVHS, working primarily with the outfielders and hitting instruction.

 

Clark is a retired Probation and Parole Officer with the Virginia Department of Corrections. He resides in Abingdon with his wife, Felicia. Their daughter, Macey Clark Chaney, is an Emory & Henry alumna, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees from the Emory campus.
