Emory & Henry Cheer & Dance To Host Spring Clinic Saturday, April 27

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Head Cheer & Dance Coach Mary Hannah Garber is pleased to announce the Wasp Cheer & Dance Spring Clinic which will be held on Saturday, April 27 on the E&H campus.

The clinic is open to males and females in Kindergarten through 12th grade and will be split into two different levels (K-7th – 8th-12th). The K-7th grade group will run from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., while the 8th-12th grade group will run from 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Both clinics will take place in the E&H Marching Band Building across from the James H. Brooks Field House.

The K-7th grade group will get a basic introduction to cheerleading with a focus on sideline cheerleading and dance with pom-poms and basic movements while getting to spend time and interact with the college cheer & dance teams.

The 8th-12th grade group will receive an introduction to college-level cheerleading and dance, focusing on tumbling, stunting, and higher skill-level techniques.

Both groups of athletes will have the opportunity to perform in from of their parents at the end of their session.

The cost of the clinic is $40 for females and $25 for males and includes a t-shirt and an E&H Cheer & Dance poster. Registration can be done on the day of the clinic or in advance at www.ehcsportscamps.com. Online registration will include a small credit card processing fee. Each athlete should bring a water bottle, cheer/dance shoes and a copy of their insurance card.
