Intermont Equestrian Competes At Sweet Briar IHSA Show

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College ISHA Team competed at a show on the campus of Sweet Briar College over the weekend. The Wasps placed eighth out of 13 teams in the show.

In the Open Division, junior Emily McBee (Cartersville, Ga.) finished third On The Flat and sixth in Over Fences. Junior Bailey Halverson (Concord, N.C.) turned in a sixth-place finish in the Intermediate Over Fences competition.

Sophomore Nick Martino (Bel Air, Md.) was sixth in Intermediate On The Flat and fourth in the Novice Division Over Fences. In the Novice Division, senior Morgan Sollenberger (Concord, N.C.) was second in Over Fences and third On The Flat.

Freshman Billie Henard (Kingsport, Tenn.) picked up a third-place finish in the Novice Division On The Flat.

In Walk/Trot/Canter, sophomore Victoria Lustig (Galisteo, N.M.) was third while senior Jen Deninger (Lawrenceville, Ga.) claimed fifth. Senior Caitlin Coston (Elwood, Ind.) was fourth in Walk/Trot.

The IHSA Team has completed the fall portion of its schedule. Its next show is scheduled for Saturday, February 7 on the campus of Randolph College.
