Intermont Equestrian To Open Spring Schedule With Dressage Show Sunday At The Emory & Henry Equestrian Center

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College Intercollegiate Dressage Association team will start the spring portion of its season on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.

The show will take place at the Emory & Henry Equestrian Center off of Exit 10.

Many teams are expected to be in attendance including: Virginia Tech, the University of Virginia, Wake Forest University, Appalachian State University, Ferrum College and Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Intermont Equestrian would like to extend a special invitation to the entire Emory & Henry College community and urges everyone to dress warmly. There will be a concession stand with warm food and drinks at the barn as well.

So far this year, the Intermont Equestrian IDA Teams have competed in three shows, earning a trio of Champion finishes, a Reserve Champion finish and a third-place finish. If E&H wins one more IDA show, it is guaranteed a slot at the IDA National Championship on Saturday, April 25 in Westerville, Ohio.

Sunday will kick off a busy three months of competition for Intermont Equestrian, as the IDA and IHSA Teams have 13 dates on their schedule. If you are unable to make it out to the Equestrian Center on Sunday, the final opportunity to see Intermont Equestrian's IDA Team compete in Southwest Virginia will be on Sunday, February 15.
