Intermont Equestrian To Host IHSA Show Saturday At The Emory & Henry Equestrian Center

BRISTOL, Va. –Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College will host an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association show on Saturday, November 14. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.

The show will take place at the Emory & Henry Equestrian Center off of Exit 10.

There will be 13 teams in attendance, comprising Region 2 of Zone 4. Teams expected to compete include Bridgewater College, Ferrum College, Hollins University, James Madison University, Lynchburg College, Mary Baldwin College, Radford University, Roanoke College, Sweet Briar College, The University of Virginia and Washington and Lee University.

Intermont Equestrian would like to extend a special invitation to the entire Emory & Henry College community and urges everyone to dress warmly. There will be a concession stand with warm food and drinks at the barn as well.

So far this year, the Intermont Equestrian IHSA Teams have competed in three shows, earning a season-best third place finish at Hollins on Saturday, October 17. Senior Morgan Sollenberger (Concord, N.C.) and junior Nick Martino (Bel Air, Md.) have already qualified for regional competition in Novice Equitation Over Fences.

Saturday will complete the fall season for the IHSA Team, but the Intercollegiate Dressage Association team still has two shows remaining on its schedule prior to the Christmas holiday. The IDA team is set to host its fall home show on Saturday, November 21.
