Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Wins At Bridgewater Saturday

WEYERS CAVE, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team returned to action for its first show of the spring semester on Saturday, competing at the Bridgewater College Equestrian Center.

The Wasps earned their fifth win in a row against the nine-team field, scoring 19 points, finishing one place off the maximum.

Senior Bailey Halverson (Concord, N.C.) won the First Level, scoring a 68.91% while senior Karissa Donohue (Benson, N.C.) was first in the Upper Training Level on a 70%. Senior Morgan Sollenberger (Concord, N.C.) finished second (68.846%) for the Wasps in Upper Training as an individual rider.

Senior Megan Wilson-Bost (Glouster, Va.) was second in the Lower Training Level with a score of 62.83% while junior Taylor Carroll (Garner, N.C.) posted a number two finish of 68.75% in the Introductory Level.

Donohue added High-Point Rider of the Day honors to her list of accolades. It marks the second time this year that Donohue has posted the highest score among all competitors.

Emory & Henry will host an IDA show on Saturday, February 6 at the Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center off of Exit 10 in Bristol.
