Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Takes First And Third Saturday At Home

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team made it five wins in a row as the Wasps’ Team A finished first out of 12 teams Saturday at the Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center. The E&H B Team was third on the day.

For a second straight week, the Wasps' winning team scored 19 points, just one place shy of a perfect score.

In the First Level, junior Nick Martino (Bel Air, Md.) claimed the top spot on a score of 73.13% for Team A while senior Bailey Halverson (Concord, N.C.) was fourth (66.41%) for Team B. Junior Mandy Snow (Bradford, Me.) rode in the First Level as an individual for E&H, placing sixth (64.06%).

The Upper Training Level was won by Team-A senior Karissa Donohue (Benson, N.C.) as she scored a 77.5%. Senior Morgan Sollenberger (Concord, N.C.) posted a fourth-place finish in the level on a score of 69.42% for Team B.

Team B senior Megan Wilson-Bost (Glouster, Va.) placed fourth in the Lower Training Level (67.39%) while sophomore Eli Worth-Jones (Abingdon, Va.) notched a fifth-place finish (66.96%) for Team A.

Junior Sierra Davenport (Chilhowie, Va.) won the Introductory Level for Team B with a ride of 68.44% while junior Taylor Carroll (Garner, N.C.) was the runner-up, riding for Team A with a score of 68.13%.

Donohue was named the High-Point Rider of the Day for a third time this year and a second-straight show. Martino was the Reserve-High Point Rider of the Day.

Emory & Henry will take a break from IDA competition until Saturday, April 2 when it travels to Virginia Tech. The Wasps will conclude the IDA regular season on Sunday, April 3 at Wake Forest University.
