Intermont Equestrian Takes Second At Tournament Of Champions Holiday Classic

COOLVILLE, Ohio – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team competed in the second of four Tournament of Champions Series shows on Saturday. The Wasps earned Reserve Champion honors behind five individual first-place finishes. Ohio University and Stonegate Farm served as the show's host.

The Results
- Sophomore Francisco Caba-Guil (Almería, SPAIN) won Open Equitation Over Fences while senior Nick Martino (Bel Air, Md.) competed in Open on the Flat.
- Junior Billie Henard (Kingsport, Tenn.) won the Intermediate on the Flat competition and was fifth in Intermediate Over Fences.
- Freshman Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) took first in Novice Equitation Over Fences and was fourth in Novice Flat.
- Freshman Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) was third in her Walk/Trot/Canter ride while freshman Kelsey Bergman (Christiansburg, Va.) won the Walk/Trot class.
- In High Medal competition, Martino was first while sophomore Michaela Glenn (Kingsport, Tenn.) was seventh in the Low Medal competition. Junior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) and senior Odessa Thacker (Yorktown, Va.) also showed in the medal competition.
- Liberty University was the team champion with 41 points while E&H was four points back as reserve champion.

- The Intermont Equestrian Teams have completed their competition schedule for the fall semester. Next up for the Wasps is the third of four Tournament of Champions Series shows on Saturday, January 21. Bridgewater College will serve as host.
