Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Wins Final Regular Season Show At Virginia Tech Saturday

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team closed out the regular season with a victory at Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Wasps posted seven first-place finishes and added a pair of seconds and a third.

TEAM PLACE – 1st/12
LOCATION – Blacksburg, Virginia
VENUE – Alphin-Stuart Livestock Arena

The Results
- Junior Francisco Caba-Guil (Almería, SPAIN) won his class in Open Equitation Over Fences and was second on the Flat. Sophomore Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) took first on the Flat while senior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) was second Over Fences.
- In Intermediate Over Fences, senior Jane Mikusa (Crystal Lake, Ill.) was first while sophomore Kira Boerst (Seymour, Wis.) was third. Boerst claimed fifth in Intermediate on the Flat.
- In Novice competition, sophomore Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was first on the Flat. Sophomore Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) won her class in Novice Over Fences and was fourth on the Flat.
- Sophomore Zachary Will (Nanjemoy, Md.) won at Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter and sophomore Virginia Jahoda (Waynesboro, Va.) was sixth in Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter.
- Senior Robbi Rodemann (Evington, Va.) also picked up a victory at Walk/Trot.

Next Up
- Intermont Equestrian will compete in the Zone 4 – Region 5 Championship on Sunday at Virginia Tech.
