Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Wins At Home Sunday

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team picked up its first team win of the 2018-19 season Sunday at home.

The Basics
TEAM PLACE
– 1st/5
LOCATION – Bristol, Virginia
VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center

First Level
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpahretta, Ga.) won the level with a score of 74.43%, riding for the team while senior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) took sixth (63.14%).

Upper Training Level
- Junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) made it back-to-back wins for the Wasps, recording a 72.93% for the team.
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) earned reserve-champion honors with a 67.76% while senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) was third in the test at 67.24%.

Lower Training Level
- Junior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) took sixth (66.73%) in Lower Training as an individual while sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) was seventh for the team on a 66.35%.
- Junior Mya Lizzadro (Naperville, Ill.) turned in a 61.92% to take eighth.

Introductory Level
- Freshman Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) posted a third-place finish on a 68.75%, riding as an individual.
- Freshman Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) took fourth for the team, scoring a 68.44%.

The Awards
- Emory & Henry won the show with 17 points while the University of Virginia was second (13) and Bridgewater College (12) was third.
- BC's Jemma Constant was named High-Point Rider of the Day for her performance at the Lower Training Level.
- Ginn brought home Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day honors with her victory at First Level.

Dressage Seat Equitation
- In First Level, freshman Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) was third while Casady was sixth.
- In Upper Training Section A, Adsit picked up a win while freshman Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) was second.
- Section B of Upper Training saw Oursler win and Bonner finish second.
- Lower Training Section A had freshman Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) take third and Lizzadro fourth.
- Junior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) won Section B of Lower Training while Trice was second.
- Introductory Level saw junior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) take second in Section A while sophomore Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.) was fourth in Section B.

Next Up
- Emory & Henry has completed the fall portion of its schedule and will return to action following the Christmas Holiday.
