Intermont Equestrian Takes Sixth At Tournament Of Champions Winter Show At SCAD

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team got the spring portion of its season started on Saturday at the Tournament of Champions – Winter show, hosted by Savannah College of Art & Design. The Wasps finished sixth as a team in the event.

TEAM PLACE – 6th
LOCATION – Hardeeville, South Carolina
VENUE – Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center

The Results
- Senior Abby McCoy (Cogan Station, Pa.) took third place in Open Over Fences while senior Hayden Wilkes (Shamong, N.J.) was third in Open on the Flat.
- Freshman Emma Gurley (Rutherfordton, N.C.) won at Intermediate Over Fences as senior Emilie Fink (Jamesport, N.Y.) was fifth in Intermediate on the Flat.
- In Limit competition, freshman Madison Couperthwait (Otego, N.Y.) placed fifth Over Fences with freshman Kendall Madison (Westtown, N.Y.) wining on the flat.
- Freshman Maddie Whitley (Stuarts Draft, Va.) claimed third in Novice while freshman Laney Stogdale (New Hope, Va.) was fifth in Introductory.
- Senior Josie Sumner (Hampshire, Ill.) and junior Emily Seaver (Jonesborough, Tenn.) competed in High and Low Medals, respectively.
