Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Earns A Pair Of Runner-Up Finishes At Home Over The Weekend

Intermont Equestrian IDA Team following Sunday's show.

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team continued the season with back-to-back podium finishes over the weekend. The Wasps earned all four of the major individual awards across the two shows.

SATURDAY

The Basics
TEAM PLACE
– 2nd/4
LOCATION – Bristol, Virginia
VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center

First Level
Senior Lindsay Shaw (Newark, Del.) started the day off strong with a 73.704% to take home the blue. First level also saw freshman Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C) earn a fifth-place finish with a 61.852%

Upper Training Level
Senior Kiley McGuinness (West Chester, Pa.) posted a 74.483% to win the division as an individual, which scored her Reserve High-Point rider of the day. While senior Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) earned 70.517% to place fourth.

Lower Training Level
Senior Skyler Shaw (Orangeville, Pa.) claimed a win in the division as an individual, and high-point rider of the day, with a 75.00%. Junior Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) posted a fifth-place finish with a 66.154%.

Introductory Level
Sophomore Lola Hare (Montpelier, Vt.) laid down a 74.375 to win the division, while freshman Diana Rubio Alonso (León, Spain) started her collegiate career with a 63.125% to finish fourth, and sophomore Brenna Looney (Bridgewater, Va.) placed sixth with a 62.187%.  

The Awards
Virginia won the show with 13 points (70.844% team average) while the Wasps were Reserve High-Point Team, scoring a team total of 13 points (69.115% team average)

Shaw was the High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her win in Lower Training.

McGuinness was the Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her win in Upper Training.

Dressage Seat Equitation
First Level saw sophomore Willow Palmer (Lebanon, N.J.) finish fourth while junior Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) was fifth.

In Upper Training, sophomore Abigail Williamson (Sacramento, Calif.) took home the blue followed by sophomore Megan Conway (Chittenango, N.Y. ) who claimed second.

In Lower Training, freshman Lacy Barlow (New Church, Va.) was first while freshman Payton Anderson (Pflugerville, Texas) was second. 

Freshman Ren Taylor (Hillsboro, Ore.) finished second in their debut, while sophomore Elly Gurshpun (Henrico, Va.) placed third at the Introductory Level.

First Level
Freshman Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C) posted a 73.939% to take home second followed by senior Lindsay Shaw (Newark, Del.) with a 73.636% for third.

Upper Training Level
Senior Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) earned herself 77.586% which placed her second. Senior Kiley McGuinness (West Chester, Pa.) posted a 71.207% for sixth.

Lower Training Level
Senior Skyler Shaw (Orangeville, Pa.) claimed a win in the division as an individual with a 75.385%. Junior Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) posted a second-place finish with a 74.808%.

Introductory Level
Sophomore Brenna Looney (Bridgewater, Va.) 78.438% to win the division, followed by sophomore Lola Hare (Montpelier, Vt.) who laid down a 78.125 for second, and freshman Diana Rubio Alonso (León, Spain) earned another 78.125% for third. 

The Awards
Virginia won the show with 18 points while the Wasps were the Reserve High-Point Team, scoring a team total of 14 points.

Looney was the High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her win in Into while Hare claimed Reserve High-Point Rider accolades.

Dressage Seat Equitation
Junior Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) was second and sophomore Willow Palmer (Lebanon, N.J.) finished fourth in First Level. 

In Upper Training, sophomore Megan Conway (Chittenango, N.Y. ) was second.

In Lower Training, freshman Lacy Barlow (New Church, Va.) continued her winning streak taking home the blue.

 Elly Gurshpun (Henrico, Va.) finished first while freshman Ren Taylor (Hillsboro, Ore.) was third in intro.

Up Next
The Wasps return their attention to the IHSA season, visiting High Point University on Saturday, November 4.
