Emory & Henry’s Roth Healey Named To D3football.com Team Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Emory & Henry College senior safety Roth Healey has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware, D3football.com officials announced Wednesday. Healey wins the award after being named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

The Easton, Pa., native and Wilson Area High School graduate, is the third Emory & Henry player since the start of the 2010 season to win D3football.com Team of the Week honors.

Healey led Emory & Henry to a 14-13 come-from-behind win over Maryville (Tenn.) College on Saturday afternoon as he returned a third-quarter fumble 72 yards for a touchdown to put the Wasps on the board. He also picked off a pass in the second quarter and led the team with nine tackles.

Emory & Henry (2-0) is idle this week and will next take the field on Saturday, September 27 when it travels to Sewanee, Tennessee for a non-conference matchup with The University of the South. Kickoff between the Wasps and Tigers is set for 1:00 p.m., Central Daylight Time (2:00 p.m. Eastern).
