Emory & Henry Claims Second-Straight Football Play of The Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. - It didn't take long for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Football Play of the Week fan poll to result in the first back-to-back win of the season. Emory & Henry College picked up its second-straight win from league football fans as freshman running back Kendrick Kube's (Culpeper, Va.) long touchdown sprint topped nominees from each of the seven other conference football schools.

Kube has been all about big plays for Emory & Henry over the first two weeks, including his contributions to the Wasps' 28-14 win over Brevard on Saturday. Kube opened the game's scoring with a 58-yard touchdown run which saw him bounce outside and use raw speed to out-run the defense to paydirt. The score put E&H ahead, 7-0, late in the first quarter.

This week's nominees resulted in nearly 4,000 interactions on YouTube and the ODAC website. Kube's touchdown run against Brevard garnered 38.9 percent of the vote from ODAC football fans. It is the fifth time that an Emory & Henry play has been recognized as Play of the Week since the beginning of the 2014 season and marks the first occasion that the Wasps have made it back-to-back wins.
