Taylor threw for four touchdowns on 30-for-47 passing and 368 yards Saturday as the Wasps earned a thrilling 48-42 come-from-behind victory over Washington and Lee University. E&H rallied from deficits of 28-7 and 42-28 in the victory as all four of Taylor's touchdowns came after the intermission.

In the third, he linked up with senior wide receiver Derrick Yates (Abingdon, Va.) for two scores and hit sophomore Jeff Wallace (Abingdon, Va.) from four yards out with 1:40 to play to tie the game at 42.

With the score tied, just two seconds remaining, and the ball on the W&L 39, Emory & Henry went for and achieved college football glory. Taylor found junior wideout Max Yates (Abingdon, Va.) on the front edge of the end zone for the game-winning touchdown, and it was all over except for the celebration.

Additionally, sophomore linebacker Ivan Phillips (Kingsport, Tenn.) was honored by the league as ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. It is time since October 21, 2018 that the Wasps have swept weekly honors from the conference office.

Emory & Henry (4-2, 3-1 ODAC) will be on the road next weekend when it visits Shenandoah University (4-2, 3-2 ODAC). Kickoff between the Wasps and Hornets is set for 1:00 p.m.
