EMORY, Va. - Emory & Henry College Head Football Coach Curt Newsome and his staff have announced the signing of the College's 2021 recruiting class as a part of National Signing Day. The class is made up of 26 student-athletes, representing five different states. The Wasps add 15 players on offense, seven on defense and four listed as two-way players.
"We are very excited about our initial class," commented Newsome. "We think we have some quality people that are quality players. We will continue to recruit as we move on but the guys that have signed today will help Emory & Henry Football become better fast."
These student-athletes have either paid a deposit or signed a letter of intent to attend Emory & Henry College in the fall of 2021. Additional members of this year's recruiting class will be announced as they commit.
Emory & Henry will play its first game of the 2020 season on Friday, February 26. The season was pushed from the fall of 2020 to the spring of 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wasps will visit W.B. Adams Stadium to take on the Panthers of Ferrum College at 7:00 p.m.
