EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Football Team and Head Coach Curt Newsome are pleased to announce the 2020 season schedule. This fall will look extremely similar to the 2019 campaign with the same 10 opponents set for the same order. The Wasps posted a 7-3 (6-2 ODAC) record last year, finishing third in the league standings.
Old Dominion Athletic Conference play will see each team play eight contests as Southern Virginia University's tenure as an associate member will end following the season. The Knights are set to move to the USA South Athletic Conference for the 2021-22 academic year.

Emory & Henry opens the season at North Carolina Wesleyan College on Saturday, September 5 (noon). The Wasps fell by a 31-24 score to the Battling Bishops in overtime last year in what was the first meeting between the two squads since 2009.
After its scheduled bye in Week Two, E&H will open league play with a home game against Randolph-Macon College on Saturday, September 19. The Wasps remain at Fred Selfe Stadium on Saturday, September 26 when they host Bluefield College in non-conference action.
Saturday, October 5 sees Emory & Henry travel to Hampden-Sydney College as the Wasps get into a weekly home-away pattern for the remainder of its season. E&H is set to host Southern Virginia University on Saturday, October 10 before traveling to Washington and Lee University (Oct. 17).
One of the highlights of the fall in Southwest Virginia is Homecoming at Emory & Henry. The Wasps host the Hornets of Shenandoah University in the weekend's cornerstone on Saturday, October 24. After visiting Bridgewater College (Oct. 31), E&H plays its final home game of the regular season, hosting Guilford College on Saturday, November 7.
The regular season finale for the Wasps will take place on Saturday, November 14 against Ferrum College at W.B. Adams Stadium. The contest will be the fifth edition of the Crooked Road Classic and the third with the Panthers as ODAC opponents.
