IRVING, Texas – Emory & Henry College senior offensive lineman Dakota Morris (Mount Sidney, Va.) has been selected to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society. Morris will receive a certificate in acknowledgment of his accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom.

"We are pleased to honor another impressive group of athletes as part of this year's Hampshire Honor Society," said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. "For more than a decade, it has become a powerful vehicle for schools to recognize their college football players who have distinguished themselves both academically and athletically, and we congratulate the schools and each of these young men for their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives."

Morris is one of 12 players from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to receive the award. This year, Hampden-Sydney College led the league with five honorees.

The Hampshire Honor Society was established in 2007 by the National Football Foundation to honor college football players from all divisions who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. A total of 910 players from 255 schools qualified for membership in the society's 15th year. The player must have also been a starter or significant substitute in their senior season to be eligible for the award.
