Anthony King is entering his fourth year as an Assistant Football Coach at Emory & Henry College. He will continue to work in the defensive backfield, concentrating on the Wasps' safeties after previously working with the entire defensive backfield as well as focusing on the corners.

In 2019, King coached both Jaylyn Kreimes and Dalton Wilson to All-ODAC accolades and saw Kreimes go on to be named to the all-league first team and the small college state defensive back of the year by the Touchdown Club of Richmond this past season.

Prior to joining the staff at E&H, King served for 10 years as an assistant coach at Gallatin High School including the final five years as defensive coordinator. The Green Wave made nine appearances in the TSSAA Playoffs including a pair of quarterfinal appearances. He has also coached at Springfield High School where he was the co-offensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator for the 2007 season.

In addition to his high school football résumé, King has coached football at the high school level as well as high school track & field.

King attended Western Kentucky University where he was a member of the track & field team as a freshman. King and his wife, Kyla, who is the Head Volleyball Coach for the Wasps, reside in Abingdon.
