Emory & Henry's Myles Turner Named To All-ODAC Third Team

FOREST, Va. – Emory & Henry College sophomore guard Myles Turner has been named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Third Team, ODAC officials announced Wednesday. The all-conference teams are selected by the league's 12 head coaches.

It is the first time since the 2011-12 season that the Wasps have had a player named to the all-conference teams.

The Richmond, Va. native led the Wasps in scoring (16.7 ppg) and field goals made (132). Turner reached double figures in scoring in 22 contests, scoring a career-high 30 points in the Wasps' win against Montreat on Dec. 10. He pulled down a personal-best 11 boards against Shenandoah (Jan. 10) and had seven assists on two different occasions during the year.

Turner ranked fourth in the ODAC in scoring, fifth in assists (3.6 apg) and second in free throws made (132) and ninth in free-throw percentage (77.6%).

For his career, Turner has scored 751 points, hitting 226 field goals, and had 253 rebounds, 145 assists and 80 steals. He has started all 54 games in which he has played, averaging 29.4 minutes per game.

Emory & Henry concluded the 2014-15 season with a 5-21 record, and posted a 4-12 mark in ODAC play. The Wasps earned the #11 seed for the 2015 ODAC Tournament, falling by a 79-75 score to sixth-seeded Hampden-Sydney in the first round.
