Emory & Henry's Myles Turner Named To All-ODAC Second Team

SALEM, Va. – Emory & Henry College junior guard Myles Turner has been named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Second Team, ODAC officials announced Thursday. The all-conference teams are selected by the league's 12 head coaches.

It marks the second year in a row that Turner has received all-league recognition. Last season, the Richmond, Virginia native was tabbed to the All-ODAC Third Team.

Turner again leads the Wasps in scoring (11.5 ppg) and eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career on February 10 against Guilford, scoring a season-high 26 points. E&H earned an 81-73 overtime victory over the Quakers in that contest. Turner is also averaging 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals with a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. He has scored in double figures 16 times including four occasions above the 20-point mark.

For his career, Turner has scored 1,050 points, hitting 322 field goals, and has 363 rebounds, 227 assists and 113 steals. He has started all 80 games in which he has played, averaging 29.4 minutes per outing.

Emory & Henry (15-11) finished in a four-way tie for fifth place in the ODAC this year, earning the fifth seed in the ODAC Tournament. The Wasps picked up a 101-54 win over #12 Shenandoah in the first round of the tournament, and will face fourth-seeded Guilford on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
