Colin Molden Named ODAC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

FOREST, Va. - Emory & Henry College's Colin Molden has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Monday. It is the first time since late in the 2014-15 season that an E&H player has received this honor.

The freshman from Apex, North Carolina scored 28 points in Emory & Henry's 127-101 road win over Johnson University last week. He shot 11-for-18 from the field and hit 5-of-8 three-point attempts for field goal percentages of 61.1 and 62.5 percent, respectively. Additionally, the Apex High School graduate pulled down a pair of rebounds and added four steals and four assists.

Wednesday's win marked the first time since the First Round of the 2016 ODAC Tournament that the Wasps scored in triple digits. E&H earned a 101-54 victory over Shenandoah University in that contest to advance to the tournament quarterfinals.

The 127 points were also the most scored by Emory & Henry since putting up a school-record 154 in an overtime win at Eastern Mennonite University on January 27, 2008.

Emory & Henry (5-3, 1-1 ODAC) is currently in the middle of its exam break and will see its next action in the Puerto Rico Clasico on Sunday, December 18 and Monday, December 19. The Wasps will play the University of Scranton on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. Eastern) and will take on Albright College on Monday at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. Eastern).
