PHILADELPHIA, Pa. –The Emory & Henry College Men's Basketball Team has moved up two spots to No. 19 in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. The poll was released late Monday evening. The Wasps were ranked 21st in NCAA Division III by the publication last week.

Emory & Henry's advance this week was made possible by two Old Dominion Athletic Conference victories, pushing the Wasps to 10-0 in league play. E&H defeated Randolph College (85-74) Wednesday on the road and took down Bridgewater College (90-73) Saturday at home.

E&H is now 18-1 on the year, its best record through 19 games in the Division III era which began with the 1973-74 season. The Wasps' 10-0 ODAC mark ties the program's best league start which occurred in the 1992-93 campaign.

Whitman College remains the No. 1 team in the nation at 19-0 while Washington University in St. Louis and Wittenberg University hold fast as No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. St. John's (Minn.) University is fourth while Whitworth University rounds out the top five. E&H opponents from earlier in the season in Maryville (Tenn.) College and the College of Wooster (Ohio) continue to receive votes.

The D3hoops.com Top 25 men's basketball poll is voted on by a group of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country. The outlet is now in its 19th season providing nationwide coverage of college basketball's largest division, beginning in the fall of 1999.
