Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth At Glenn Heath Memorial Tuesday

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team took sixth place out of nine competing teams at the Glenn Heath Memorial, hosted by The Apprentice School. It was the final tournament of the regular season for the Wasps, who will close out the 2018-19 campaign at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship later this month.

Round One
The Wasps posted a team score of 335 on Monday to sit in sixth place (+47). Junior Carlos Andrade (Guyaquil, ECUADOR) and sophomore Isfandyar Khan (Lahore, PAKISTAN) each carded a +10 (82) to sit tied for 23rd place.

Sophomore Blake Benson (Knoxville, Tenn.) shot an 85 (+13) which was good for 37th while sophomore Wesley Jones (Seymour, Tenn.) was 42nd with a score of 86. Freshman Alex Cameron (Mascot, Tenn.) shot an 86 as well.

Round Two
E&H bettered their score by seven shots during Tuesday's round to finish the event at +87 (335-328 – 663). Khan moved up three spots, turning in a +8 (80) to finish tied for 20th.

Jones, Benson and Andrade each ended the event tied for 33rd at +23 with Jones' round of 81 leading the trio. Cameron rounded out the team as he finished tied for 43rd (+28).

The Winners
Randolph-Macon College won the team title with a score of +31 (305-302 – 607), putting all four of its scoring golfers in the top nine. Trey Razzetti took home medalist honors for the Yellow Jackets, scoring a +2 for the tournament.

- The 2019 ODAC Championship will run from Sunday, April 28 through Tuesday, April 30. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place at The Champions Course at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
