Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Finishes 11th At Tom Kinder Memorial Tuesday

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team finished play at Bridgewater College's Tom Kinder Memorial early Tuesday afternoon. The Wasps took 11th place out of 15 competing teams.

Emory & Henry
Junior Christofer Schaff (Elizabethton, Tenn.) moved up four places after carding a round of 75 on Tuesday to finish tied for 27th overall at +6.

Junior Isfandyar Khan (Lahore, PAKISTAN) and freshman Chase Maddox (Amherst, Va.) both shot 79, finishing tied for 49th and 79th, respectively.

Junior Blake Benson (Knoxville, Tenn.) and junior Wesley Jones (Seymour, Tenn.) finished in a tie for 56th at +14 for the tournament, turning in scores of 80 and 81, respectively on Tuesday.

The Winners
Alex Rubino of Hampden-Sydney College climbed five places on  the leaderboard to earn the team title at -4 (72-68 – 140). His round of 68 on Tuesday was the low round for the tournament. McDaniel College's Chuck Csejka was the runner-up at -3 (141).

McDaniel held onto its lead despite dropping four strokes from Monday's round to finish at +8 for the event. The Green Terror edged the Eagles of Bridgewater, who carded a daily round of 292 to move up six places in the team standings, by five shots.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will complete the fall portion of its season at the VSGA Intercollegiate next month. The annual tournament will take place at Blacksburg Country Club, hosted by Roanoke College on Monday and Tuesday, October 14 and 15.
