Emory & Henry Men's Golf Ties For Seventh At The Mountain Empire Intercollegiate Tuesday

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team concluded play in The Mountain Empire Intercollegiate with another 18 holes on Tuesday. The Wasps finished tied for seventh as the only non-scholarship program in the field.

Emory & Henry
Senior Christofer Schaff (Elizabethton, Tenn.) shot an even-par 72 to move up eight places and finish tied for seventh. Junior Roger McClanahan (Mavisdale, Va.) carved eight shots off his Monday performance to shoot 76 (+4) and end up tied for 28th.

Freshman Sam Vandyne (Max Meadows, Va.) posted an 84 (+12) in Tuesday's round to finish at +22 (T-37th) while junior Alex Cameron (Mascot, Tenn.) finished the event at +37 (46th) and senior Isfandyar Khan (Lahore, PAKISTAN) jumped six posts to end up tied for 47th (+28).

The Leaders
Caleb Milligan of Milligan University's "B-Team" carded the low round of the tournament with a 68 on Tuesday to earn medalist honors at even par. Teammates Ty Beasley and Samuel Prater finished in a tie for second three shots back.

Milligan's "A-Team" won the team title, improving by 19 shots over Monday's round to finish at 599 (+23) for the event. The Buffaloes "B-Team" was three strokes behind at +26 while Bluefield College ended the tournament at +32 for third.

Up Next
The Wasps will next compete in the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday, April 25 and Monday, April 26. The two-day 54-hole tournament will again be hosted at Bryant Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
