Emory & Henry Men's Golf Third After Day One Of The King Invitational Monday

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team is six shots out of the lead in third place with a score of +8 (288) after 18 holes at the King Invitational on Monday. The tournament is being held at the Golf Club of Bristol and hosted by King (Tenn.) University.

Emory & Henry
Sophomore Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) and freshman Peyton Spangler (Roanoke, Va.) are part of a three-way tie for eighth place after shooting a +1 (71) on Monday.

Two shots back at 73 (+3) in a seven-way logjam at 17th are junior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) and freshman Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.). Rounding out the team is freshman Jordan Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR), who carded a +8 (78).

The Leaders
Indiana University of Pennsylvania leads the field at +2 (282). The Hawks have three players sitting at even par and another at +2. In second place is Tusculum University which shot a 287 (+7) to sit one stroke ahead of E&H.

Tusculum's Thomas Kollberg and King's Kritpas Ratanaprasar sit atop the leaderboard after firing a -1 (69).
