Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Sits Fifth At Bob Dibble Intercollegiate After Monday’s Round

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team is in fifth place out of 10 competing teams after day one of the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate, hosted by Tusculum University. The Wasps posted the program's fourth-best single-day score as they saw their four scoring players sit in the top 25.

Emory & Henry
Freshman Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) is tied for 10th at +1 (72) after Monday's round, leading the E&H charge. He is followed by freshman Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.), who turned in a score of +2 (73) and sits tied for 15th.

Junior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) is yet another stroke back at +3 (74), tied for 18th overall while freshman Peyton Spangler (Roanoke, Va.) notched a +4 (75) to finish tied for 21st.

Sophomore Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) posted a +5 (76) and is just outside the top 25 at T-27th.

The Leaders
Tusculum University leads the tournament at +1 (285) with three players in the top six. Emmanuel (Ga.) College is hot on the heels of the Pioneers with a team round of 286 (+2).

A.J. Rinehart of Waters State Community College is the clubhouse leader at -4 (67), one stroke ahead of Lian van Deventer from Tusculum and Emmanuel's Daniel Alonso.
