Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Takes Fifth At Bob Dibble Intercollegiate Tuesday

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team held onto its fifth-place position with another sub-300 round on Tuesday at Tusculum University's Bob Dibble Intercollegiate. The Wasps saw freshman Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) finish tied for fifth place as the team joined together to notch the program's second-best 36-hole score in program history.

Emory & Henry
Kuang Kyaw shot an even-par 71 on Tuesday to move up five spots and finish tied for fifth (+1) while junior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) posted a +1 (72) to end the tournament tied for 13th (+4).

Sophomore Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) posted a 73 (+2) on the day to jump six places to T-21st. Freshman Peyton Spangler (Roanoke, Va.) shot a 79 (+8) and freshman Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) carded an 81 (+10) to each finish tied for 32nd.

The Winners
Emmanuel (Ga.) College's Markel Olasagasti went under par both days to shoot a -4 (70-68 – 138), winning the tournament by one shot over Isak Holter from Tusculum University.

The Lions took the team title at +5 (286-287 – 573), defeating the host Pioneers by four strokes.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will next compete at The Cateechee Cup, hosted by Emmanuel (Ga.) at Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell, Georgia. The tournament will be contested over Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4.
