ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team completed the 2022-23 season at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout, hosted by Milligan University on Tuesday. The Wasps finished in fifth place out of 12 competing squads in the one-day, 36-hole event, posting the program-best 18-hole score to par at +3 (291) in round two.

Round One
Sophomore Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) shot a +2 (74) to sit in 14th place after the first round while sophomore Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) and freshman Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) tied for 15th at 75 (+3).
Junior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) posted a +6 (78) which was good for T-28th while freshman Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) tied for 38th with an 80 (+8).
Round Two
Boone moved up two spots into a tie for 12th place at +1 with a one-under-par score of 71 while Ojeda also carded a 71 (-1), tying for 14th at +2 for the tournament.
Aliff posted a 73 (+1) in round two to tie for 18th place at +4 as Kuang Kyaw moved up four places into a tie for 32nd place at +12 with a round of 76 (+4). Alexander ended the event tied for 35th at +13 after posting a 79 (+7) during the afternoon.
The Winners
Roane State Community College won the team title at -21 (279-276 – 555) with four players in the top 10. Milligan was the runner-up, shooting a -16 (283-277 – 560).
Noah Honinger of University of Northwestern Ohio won the tournament with a stellar score of -11 (64-69 – 133). Roane State's Louie Stott and Milligan's Ty Beasley tied for second place at -9.
