Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Third After 18 Holes At King Invitational Monday

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team sits in third place, one shot out of the lead, following Monday's round at the King University Invitational. The Wasps have three players in the top seven and ties as they recorded the best 18-hole team score in program history at 279 (-1).

Emory & Henry
Junior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) is tied for the individual lead after carding the second-best individual round in program history at 66 (-4).

Sophomore Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) is tied for fifth with a -1 (69) while sophomore Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) posted an even par (70) to sit in a seven-way logjam for seventh.

Freshman Sam Fansler (Moneta, Va.) shot a 74 (+4) and is tied for 34th with senior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) tied for 39th at +6 (76).

The Leaders
Tusculum University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania are tied for the team lead after posting a -2 (278) on Monday. E&H is one stroke back in third and is three shots ahead of fourth-place Young Harris College.

Ojeda is deadlocked with Morgan Cain of Tusculum for the tournament lead at -4 (66). Indiana (Pa.)'s Aidan LeBlanc sits in third at 67 (-3) while teammate John Olsen is fourth at -2 (68).
