Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth At Richard Rendleman Invitational Tuesday

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team completed the two-day, three-round Richard Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday, finishing fourth out of six competing teams. The Wasps posted its best-ever 54-hole team score at 902 (+50).

Round Three
Junior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) finished fourth overall at +4 (217) with a round of +1 (72) on Tuesday while sophomore Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) leapt eight places to 11th with an even-par score of 71 to finish the tournament at +11.

Sophomore Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) posted a +7 (78), falling two spots into a tie for 16th at +16 while as senior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) shot a 79 (+8) to complete the tournament at +19 (20th).

Freshman Sam Fansler (Moneta, Va.) finished in 27th place, carding an 83 (+12) on Tuesday afternoon to end the event at +30.

The Winners
Catawba College was crowned the team champion with a score of +23 (299-286-290 – 875) topping Fayetteville State University by 11 shots (292-289-305 – 886).

FSU's Logan Atkins won the tournament by six strokes, shooting a -6 (69-68-70 – 207) while Tzu-Wei Huang of University of Virginia's College at Wise was the runner-up at even par (75-67-71 – 213).

Emory & Henry returns to action in two weeks at the Barton College Fall Intercollegiate on Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17. The event will take place at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina.
