ROYSTON, Ga. – The Emmanuel (Ga.) University Men's Golf Team held off a strong performance by Emory & Henry College in day two of their match-play dual on Tuesday, earning a 6.5-3.5 win. The event was held at Highland Walk Golf Course at Victoria Bryant State Park.
The event was played as modified match-play with all competitors completing their rounds and then comparing their stroke play scores to determine the winner of the match.

How It Happened
- The Lions held a 3-2 lead following the first day of competition.
- Emmanuel and E&H halved the first two flights during Tuesday's round as all four players shot an even-par 72. The No. 1 pairing was E&H sophomore Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) and Pelayo Sol from Emmanuel while the second pairing was Wasp junior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) and the Lions' Markel Olasagasti.
- At No. 3, Daniel Alonso Drljevic shot a -1 (71), defeating Emory & Henry sophomore Jordan Kuang Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) by eight strokes.
- The fourth flight saw E&H freshman Sam Fansler (Moneta, Va.) and Eric Galimany halve their matchup as both shot a +8 (80).
- Emmanuel's Austin Spencer grabbed a 73-75 win over freshman Ryne Bond (Floyd, Va.) to complete the match.

- Emory & Henry will return to action next weekend when it co-hosts the Fincastle/Glenrochie Challenge alongside Bluefield University. The two-day event will be split between Fincastle on the Mountain on Saturday, March 2 and Glenrochie Country Club on Sunday, March 3.
