Randolph-Macon Men’s Soccer Slips Past Emory & Henry, 1-0, Saturday

EMORY, Va. – The Randolph-Macon College Men's Soccer Team (3-2-2, 2-0-2 ODAC) picked up a 1-0 win over Emory & Henry College (3-5, 1-3 ODAC) Saturday afternoon to remain unbeaten in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.

After a scoreless first half, the Yellow Jackets got the lone goal of the match in the 63rrd minute as John Baskerville took a pass from David Sullivan and put the ball past the keeper.

Both teams had chances down the stretch to add goals to the scoreboard, but neither squad could find the back of the net.

Sophomores midfielder Seb Marley (Worster, ENGLAND) and forward Luis Peralta (Robbins, N.C.) each had two shots for Emory & Henry, whose five losses have all come by a one-goal margin. R-MC's Sullivan led all players with four shots in the contest.

Matty Rocawich picked up the shutout in goal for the Yellow Jackets with five saves while E&H junior Justin Spencer (Statesville, N.C.) had four saves on the day.

Emory & Henry will travel to Maryville (Tenn.) College on Tuesday to face the Scots at 7:00 p.m.
