Randolph Men’s Soccer Defeats Emory & Henry, 4-0, Wednesday Evening

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College Men's Soccer Team (10-4, 3-4 ODAC) picked up a 4-0 victory over visiting Emory & Henry College (4-9, 1-6 ODAC) in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action at WildCat Stadium on Wednesday night.

After a scoreless first half, the WildCats came out on the attack. Randolph scored the first goal of the match at the just 12:38 into the period. Will Wolf headed in a free kick by Nick Cornell for his second goal of the season.

The WildCats pushed their margin to 2-0 just after the hour mark (60:57) as John Vecchietti scored on a left-footed blast from top of the 18-yard box.

Randolph added two goals in the last 15 minutes of the contest. Seth Dorman and Celestin Kabamba each scored to make the final margin 4-0.

The WildCats outshot the Wasps by an 18-5 margin and held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Carter Smith picked up the win in goal for Randolph, making two saves, while Emory & Henry junior Justin Spencer (Statesville, N.C.) had four saves despite the loss.

Emory & Henry will return home on Saturday when it will face Lynchburg College at 7:00 p.m. The contest will be a part of E&H's Homecoming celebration and will serve as Senior Day for the Wasps.
