COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University Men's Soccer Team (1-1) scored two goals in the first half en route to defeating Emory & Henry College (0-2) by a 5-0 score Sunday afternoon at the Fort Rapids Invitational.

The Crusaders got on the board early in the 15th minute as Al Argyris took a pass from Chris Mir-Salimi and dribbled past the defender to finish on the right side of the goal. Capital made it 2-0 less than five minutes later (18:59) as Argyris set up Derek Cox with a cross over the E&H defense.

In the second half, Jesus Villarroel and Zach Inman picked up a pair of unassisted goals on rebounds from the goalkeeper, extending the lead to 4-0. The Crusaders' goalkeeping tandem of Bob Wesigarber and Dylan Beck combined for the shutout, stopping one shot each, while E&H freshman Tim Coulter (Mooresville, N.C.) suffered the loss.

The Wasps will open the home portion of their schedule on Wednesday afternoon when the Panthers of Ferrum College visit Fred Selfe Stadium. The contest will be the opener of a doubleheader with the women's team and will begin at 5:00 p.m.
