Randolph Men’s Soccer Blanks Emory & Henry, 5-0, Saturday In ODAC Action

EMORY, Va. – The Randolph College Men's Soccer Team (4-0-1, 1-0 ODAC) scored three goals in the first half en route to a 5-0 win over Emory & Henry College (2-2-1, 0-1 ODAC) Saturday afternoon to open Old Dominion Athletic Conference play at Fred Selfe Stadium.

The two squads battled back and forth for control of the midfield for the opening half hour of the contest. At the 36:15 mark, Randolph's Nate Juth received a corner kick from Blake Heatherly and put it in the back of the net to open the scoring. Juth made it 2-0 three minutes later when he finished a loose ball in front of the goal. The WildCats made it 3-0 at the half on a free kick score by Heatherly.

After the break, Randolph added goals in the 61st and 79th minutes. Kyle Unruh took a pass from Gabe Everette for the first score while Travis Brown was assisted by Joe Uzdavinis on the final goal of the match.

The WildCats held a 26-6 advantage in the scoring column and a 14-1 margin on corner kicks.

E&H will step out of conference play on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to Warren Wilson College for a 4:00 p.m. matchup with the Owls.
