Emory & Henry Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Penn State-York, 4-0, Friday To Open The Year

YORK, Pa. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Soccer Team (1-0, 0-0 ODAC) opened the season with a win for the third year in a row, defeating Penn State University-York (0-1, 0-0 PSUAC) by a 4-0 score Friday on the road.

How It Happened
- The Wasps got on the board in the 34th minute on a goal by sophomore defender Jackson Kaze (Midlothian, Va.).
- Just after the hour mark, E&H made it 2-0 thanks to freshman defender C.J. Poulsen's (Roanoke, Va.) strike. Junior midfielder Kevin Boeren (Roanoke, Va.) pushed the advantage to 3-0 with a strike in the 67th minute.
- Emory & Henry capped the scoring in the 74th minute thanks to a goal by senior midfielder Jake Hamley (Christiansburg, Va.).
- Sophomore Cole Irvin (Charlottesville, Va.) and freshman Emory Cornette (Richmond, Ky.) combined for the shutout.
