Roanoke Men’s Soccer Defeats Emory & Henry, 3-0, Wednesday Evening

EMORY, Va.  – The Roanoke College Men's Soccer Team (8-3-3, 4-1-3 ODAC) picked up a 3-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win over Emory & Henry College (6-10, 0-9 ODAC) Wednesday at Fred Selfe Stadium.

How It Happened
- Roanoke got on the board in the 24th minute when Philani Mlotshwa crossed a ball into the box from the left side for a one-time finish by Chris Pikunas at the back post.
- Two and a half minutes later, the Maroons added a second score. Jon-Cody Mactutus scored on a pass from Pikunas.
- Pikunas made a 3-0 contest at the 56:23 mark on a turn-around shot from the top of the box.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Senior forward Tyequis Stallins (Chesapeake, Va.) and sophomore defender Matthew Goodwin (Palm City, Fla.) tallied a pair of shots each.
- Freshman Emory Cornette (Richmond, Ky.) made four saves in goal.

Roanoke Individual Leaders
- Pikunas scored his two goals on five shots, putting four of his attempts on frame while Mactutus had four shots.
- Alex Sullivan and Zach Bebe combined for the shutout, each playing 45 minutes.

- Emory & Henry will take to the road for its final ODAC contest of the year on Saturday when it visits Randolph-Macon College.
