Emory & Henry Men’s Soccer Releases 2021 Season Schedule

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Head Men's Soccer Coach Didier Grillet has announced the team's slate of games for the fall of 2021. As E&H begins its realignment to NCAA Division II, the squad will play a mixture of Division II, Division III, NCCAA and USCAA programs this fall.

"This season will be very exciting for this program," commented Grillet. "We will face new teams and some familiar rivals as we enter the next chapter in Emory & Henry Athletics history. Our goal has always been to be competitive as soon as we start competing at the Division II level. This season will be a big test for us but we are confident that we have a team that will embrace the challenge."

This season's schedule has 14 games split evenly between home and away contests as E&H will play in five different states.

The Wasps will open the season with three games in the state of Indiana. For the second time in three years, Emory & Henry is set to play in the Raven/Quaker Classic. E&H will face Anderson (Ind.) University on Saturday, September 4 and Earlham College on Sunday, September 5. The team concludes its Midwest trip on Monday, September 6 when it visits Bluffton University where it will take on former Wasp head coach Robert Richardson.

E&H has its first home game on Tuesday, September 14, hosting King (Tenn.) University at 7:00 p.m. The Wasps remain at home with a visit from Brevard College (Sun., Sept. 19 – 2:00 p.m.).

After games at William Peace University and Johnson & Wales (N.C.) University on Wednesday, September 29 and Sunday, October 3, respectively, Emory & Henry takes on Toccoa Falls College at Fred Selfe Stadium on Tuesday, October 5 (4:00 p.m.).

A trip to West Virginia on Tuesday, October 12 sees a match against Salem University before playing Carolina University (formerly Piedmont International University) at 6:00 p.m., on Homecoming Saturday (Oct. 16).

E&H will make its final road trip on Wednesday, October 20 to face Sewanee before closing out the season with three straight home contests.

The Wasps welcome Warren Wilson College on Thursday, October 21 (7:30 p.m.) before a return game against Salem (W.Va.) on Sunday, October 24 (2:00 p.m.). Emory & Henry will conclude the year by hosting Shaw University on Saturday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m.
