Salem Men’s Soccer Tops Emory & Henry, 2-1, Tuesday Afternoon

SALEM, W.Va. – The Salem (W.Va.) University Men's Soccer Team (2-7-1) scored a pair of unanswered goals in the second half to pick up a 2-1 win against visiting Emory & Henry College (2-7) Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Emory & Henry got on the board in the 24th minute as sophomore midfielder Louis Pereira-Scott (Glasgow, SCOTLAND) connected with an unassisted goal. The 1-0 margin would carry through the end of the first half.
- In the second, SU evened the score at the 54:30 mark on a strike by Samir Doullouz. The Tigers got the match-winner three minutes later as Pablo Sanchez found Aitor Lopez with a pass that he put in the back of the net.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Pereira-Scott and junior forward Nino Egli (Maseltrangen, SWITZERLAND) led the way with two shots, each putting one on target and Pereira-Scott's finding paydirt.
- Junior goalkeeper Derek Akers (Hiwassee, Va.) made six saves as he played the full 90 minutes.

Salem (W.Va.) Individual Leaders
- Doullouz scored his goal on a team-high four shots while Lopez, Anthony Del Cid and David Teruel Nuno each had three chances.
- Samuel Reyna-Farje made two saves in the contest as he earned the win.
