Emory & Henry Men's & Women's Swimming Set For The 2021 ODAC Championships

EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Swimming Teams will enter the championship portion of their seasons this weekend at the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships, held at the Liberty Natatorium in Lynchburg, Virginia. The two-day, 18-event meet will be held on Friday and Sunday only. The races will be conducted in a timed-finals format to allow for teams to travel to and from their campuses each day. This year, Emory & Henry will send five men and eight women to the league meet.

Video Streaming & Results Information
- The 2021 ODAC Swimming Championships will be streamed live on www.ODACsn.com. The streams will begin 10 minutes prior to the start of competition both days.

Spectators
- No spectators will be allowed in accordance with the ODAC's conference-wide indoor sports policy.

The Women
- Freshman Emy Youmans (Columbia, S.C.) is seeded third in the 100-yard butterfly, eighth in the 100-yard freestyle and 10th in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Sophomore Kenzie Welch (Knoxville, Tenn.) has the fifth-best time in the 200-yard backstroke, sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle and is ninth in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Junior Cat Sweigart (Bridgewater, Tenn.) has the #7 seed in the 200-yard breaststroke, the #9 seed in the 100-yard breaststroke and is 15th in the 200-yard individual medley. Freshman Liah Davis (Vinton, Va.) enters the championship seeded ninth in the 100-yard butterfly.

The Men
- Senior Logan Smith (Knoxville, Tenn.) has the #10 seed in the 200-yard individual medley and the 400-yard individual medley. He is also 12th in the 1,650-free.
- Junior Blake Madaris (Acworth, Ga.) sits 10th in the 1,650-free and is 11th in the 400-IM while sophomore Ryan Spangler (Daleville, Va.)  is 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke, 11th in the 400-IM and 13th in the 100-fly.
