FOREST, Va. – By virtue of finishing fourth during the 2012 Old Dominion Athletic Conference regular season, the Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team has earned the fourth seed for the 2012 ODAC Tournament.

The Wasps will host their quarterfinal matchup against the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., at the Country Club of Bristol. The contest has been moved indoors due to the threat of rain in Southwest Virginia over the weekend.

In the regular season meeting between E&H and R-MC, the Wasps claimed a 5-2 victory at the Duchossois Tennis Center on the campus of Washington and Lee University.

The Wasps opened up a 2-1 advantage over the Yellow Jackets, winning the first two doubles flights. Juniors Matt Nelson (Galax, Va.) and Adam Henderson (Abingdon, Va.) got the 8-6 win at number one while seniors Chip Wintringham (Burlington, N.C.) and Mike Young (Lawrenceville, Ga.) won by an 8-4 score.

Wintringham and Henderson both came away with (6-1, 6-2) triumphs at the second and third singles flights. Young sealed the deal for the Wasps winning number four singles.

The winner of Sunday's quarterfinal matchup will advance to the league semifinals, to be played on Saturday, April 28 on the campus of Randolph-Macon. The winner will face the winner of the Washington and Lee-Virginia Wesleyan contest.
