Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Picked To Finish Fourth In 2013 ODAC Coaches’ Poll

FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men’s Tennis Team has been picked to finish in fourth place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this season, ODAC officials announced Thursday. The Wasps, which are coming off a 15-7 season last year, will tie with Virginia Wesleyan College for the fourth spot according to the league’s 11 head coaches.

Washington and Lee University received 10 of 11 first-place votes and 100 points, and is picked to win the league for a 32nd time. Bridgewater College earned the final top nod with 86 points for second while Guilford is tabbed third (75).

Emory & Henry and Virginia Wesleyan each got 69 votes for the fourth-place tie while Hampden-Sydney College (53) rounds out the top six.

The Wasps open the spring portion of their schedule on Saturday, February 16 with a non-conference contest against Greensboro College at 2:00 p.m. E&H will have its first ODAC match against Hampden-Sydney College on Saturday, March 2 on the campus of Sweet Briar College. First serve is set for noon.
